Allen King currently maintains a private practice in Chicago’s West Loop, treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. He maintains a professional relationship with an Evanston-based private health care management company. Allen’s background is in massage therapy and bodywork. Since completing his massage therapy certification from Chicago School of Massage Therapy (currently named Cortiva Institute) in 1997, he has worked in numerous locations throughout the Chicagoland area:
As a massage therapist, Allen has collaborated on many therapeutic massage cases with practitioners of mainstream Western medicine, chiropractic, dentistry, and surgery. His specialties were rehabilitation, sports massage, deep tissue massage, and myofascial therapy.
Allen earned a dual Masters Degree in Science and Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2008 and a Doctoral Degree in Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine (DACM) in 2016 from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. His education emphasizes not only a firm grasp of Chinese medical fundamentals, but also knowledge of mainstream Western medical approaches. This allows him to understand and communicate with your primary care practitioner. He is board certified in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Biomedicine.
